introducing… DJ Paz.
i give my friend, christian paz, for the music he shares through his tumblr. and by the look of the “likes” he’s getting daily, it’s not just me that digs his taste in music. i thought i’d throw him some questions.
who are you? I am Christian Paz
where are you? I am in San Francisco
regarding your 30-day music challenge: i noticed you had more than one post per day. did this become more of a chore after a bit? No not necessarily. I wouldn’t be home to post a song so I’ll do two in one day sometimes. Or I just couldn’t think of the right song to fit the challenge on the day it was due.
did this make you think more about a certain memory? a certain aspect about yourself? Absolutely. It made me think about various memories and it helped me come to certain realizations about myself.
which question was the hardest to answer? A song that reminds me of someone. I was thinking about my dad for some reason that day and the song I posted was Tom Petty – You Don’t Know How it Feels. I remember when I was living in Temecula, he mentioned that he liked that song. We watched it whenever it was on MTV. Anyways, I bought him cassette tape of this song. I haven’t spoken to my dad in 6 years and he lives like 2 miles away from me (now).
back to general qs: describe your current occupation. I do sales for Comcast
what is your dream occupation? I’d want to work on integrated advertising in films; these are the liaisons between consumer products and the film. Either that or the person who chooses music for movies or TV shows to go with the visuals / sceens / etc
thank you mr. paz for answering my interview questions.

Family. Friends. Meeting new people. And learning about their lives.
A photojournalist for world vision. And mom.
What makes you happy?
Singing out loud when nobody’s home. And being with Kids.
A student. Spanish tutor.
A designer. Motivational and spiritual person…
You know, I’m just open to whatever opportunities.
Even as I was done noting down their responses, the conversation just continued on, and Katie wanted to change her answer to the “happiness” question (too late!) Happy memory for her was during her childhood, her 4th of July tradition, where she and her sister would go out to the beach with their surfboards to lay on it in the middle of the bay, and watch the fireworks shooting up to the night sky. Now… that indeed sounds like bliss, and would have been quite remarkable as an answer to that interview question.
Lesson of the Day: Have your happy moment always floating in your head. You never know when you’ll be interviewed, and your happy moment deserves to be shared.
